The Best of the Best Santa’s Grottos in the UK
You can imagine just how busy our team of professional hired Santas are in the run-up to the festive season. Our Santas attend all kinds of event from parties to afternoon teas but one favourite spot they all enjoy is being the centre of attention in Santa’s Grotto. But which were the best of the best in the UK?
Santa’s Grotto – a must visit
A grotto is a small, picturesque cave, the perfect location for children of all ages to whisper their gift ideas into the all-hearing ear of the Man in Red himself. Grottos are found in locations across the UK in the weeks before Christmas but which ones are the standout ones?
#1 Santa’s Grotto in Westfield London
Christmas shopping is always a hectic time. Whether you do the bulk of your gift-buying online you are, at some point or another, bound to venture into town or your local shopping centre. A visit to Santa’s Grotto is the perfect way to take the heat and frantic pace out of shopping. At Westfield London, Santa’s Grotto promised a fabulous 20-minute experience, not bad when you consider the £7.50 entrance fee. A photo with the man himself and a gift was included.
#2 Winter Wonderland, London
Staying in the capital for a moment, the Winter Wonderland in London’s Hyde Park is simply a must. As well as the Grotto staffed by elves, there is also plenty of other activities on offer, including Santa’s Toy factory funhouse. Entry is free but is based on a first-come, first-served basis.
#3 Set Sail with Santa, Poole
Hopping along to the coast, Set Sail with Santa sees the man himself ditch his usual mode of transport for a boat. Appealing to everyone, the hour-long cruise around Poole Harbour is a great way to spend time together as a family. There is also a magic show on offer, a chance to meet Santa and delicious mulled wine and mince pies too. Costing £17 per person, you can book online!
#4 Santa’s Grotto at the Ice Festival, Liverpool
Like many cities, Liverpool pulls out all the stops at Christmas to encourage people into the city to enjoy the atmosphere. At Liverpool’s Pier Head, the Ice Festival is a must-visit throughout November and December. Browse the market stalls, enjoy the entertainment and eat here too and, of course, your little ones can enjoy the magical place that is Santa’s Grotto. It’s free too but on a first-come, first-served basis.
#5 Santa’s Grotto at the Chill Factore, Manchester
Many of us wish for a white Christmas and taking to the slopes of Chill Factore in Manchester is one way you can get a touch of the white stuff if the British weather doesn’t provide it for you. There is a Lapland feel to Santa’s Grotto here and well work a visit. Ticket prices vary depending on the activities you want to take part in. A well-worth-it Christmas treat for the family.
Christmas is such a magical time of year with a visit to Santa’s Grotto being the icing on the cake for many families.
